We have two engaging and safe recreation facilities in West Seattle to provide a therapeutic day camp during school holiday and summer breaks for children needing specialized care due to behavioral difficulties.

Our camp is different than other camps because it is designed for children with behavioral issues, mental health diagnoses, developmental disabilities, or for those in special education.

Our therapeutic recreational camp features fun, physical, and therapeutic activities in our recreation space and in the greater West Seattle community. Staffed by our highly skilled and trained Behavior Specialists, the camp is open for children ages 6-18 [or those still enrolled in school] and living in King and Pierce County. Camp runs during holiday, mid-Winter, Spring and Summer Break and transportation is available.

Camp Specifics and Structure

The camper's day begins with a morning group meeting where goals are discussed and activities are presented for the day. Expectations of each camper's behavior are defined and discussed and campers break into one of four pods with a lead staff for the remainder of the day.

Camp for summer 2010 runs from June 28-August 27, M-F from 8:30-4:30 (extended day and transportation are available).  We have two facilities on-site depending upon whether your child has developmental disabilities or mental health challenges. Each site has a coordinator and one staff for each two children enrolled. Activities include an on-site arcade, outdoor activities, movies, swimming and the beach. The camp has a philosophy of managing behavioral issues while having a fun, outdoor summer experience.
