Community Care
Psychotheraphy - Bellevue - Kent - Seattle

At Community Care, we focus on each client as unique and as a whole, discouraging the impulse in the field to diagnose and compartmentalize emotional experiences.

The best treatment method is when therapy is not approached as if an "objective" therapist is helping a client; rather as two subjective realities both devoted to helping understand the client's emotional world. Most importantly, the relationship between the therapist and the client is central in creating an atmosphere in which the client will accept the therapy process.

Psychotherapy is provided by Eric Christianson, MA, Director

Eric's training is in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from Seattle University's Masters in Psychology program and he has worked in the field for fifteen years. Eric believes that the therapy experience encourages us to embrace feelings and thoughts at work inside of us that can be difficult to access on our own. He honors and respects the relationship with his clients, and invites clients to join him in a mutual process of discovery and questioning. Eric is drawn toward reflection, intimate conversation, and thinking about the way that individuals and the world influence each other. His approach includes cultivating and revitalizing the client's sense of self and wholeness. In order to work in depth, he generally sees clients two or more times per week.
